So Much For "Peace And Good Will Toward All" In Denver This Holiday Season

[Ed. note: Just noticed Jurassic Pork at Welcome to Pottersville has a great post up on the same topic. Go here to see it.]

Let me get this right: we are now in the "holiday season" when statistically, almost a third of ALL holiday cards and decorations include the word "peace" or symbol of it (dove). But in Denver, a peace sign as part of a wreath is being decried and penalized for being "anti-war", "anti-American" and a "symbol of Satan"?

Some of those complaining are families with members serving in Iraq. I guess "peace" would be bad for soldiers. They'd have nothing to do so they'd have to come home?

The rationale here is.. wow... way past bizarre. Thankfully, however, the brave woman who hung this wreath says the peace sign wreath stays, even if she's hit with the $25 day, possible $1,000 plus total fines. From the wires:

Lisa Jensen said she wasn't thinking of the war when she hung the wreath. She said, "Peace is way bigger than not being at war. This is a spiritual thing."
