In A Panel of Bald-Faced Liars, Mike Huckabee Stands Out

[Methinks spending time around Chuck Norris and his drug-induced haze has affected the Huck's mental capacity (which was never exactly firing on all cylinders to start with).]

Mike Huckabee, the same man who last week insisted that it was his solemn duty to change the U.S. Constitution to reflect HIS interpretation of the word of God - namely, to outlaw homosexuality and a woman's right to choose and make any semblance of marriage restricted exclusively to a man and a woman - with a straight face during the Thursday night Florida GOP presidential debate, insisted that he would never, ever try to impose his religious views on the nation.

Say what?

Huckabee, The U.S. Constitution, And The Will Of The People

Huckabee: Change The Constitution To Fit God's Word

Update: Here's a strange note; the video has now magically disappeared from YouTube. Hmmmm.... Found a different clip of Huckabee's same miserable performance, however, and I'll post it post haste.

Gee, I didn't know that the U.S. Constitution was supposed to BE the word of God and must be changed to fit!

From Greg Mitchell's personal blog (some may recognize his name, however, as editor at Editor and Publisher and columnist of Pressing Issues):

Obama got heat today from Richard Cohen in The Washington Post because his pastor said some nice things about Louis Farrakhan. Former reverend Mike Huckabee, meanwhile, in Michigan yesterday called for amending the constitution to ban abortions and gay marriage, explaining, that "it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God -- and that's what we need to do, is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards."

A new video of alleged "radical cleric" Huckabee.

Mike Huckabee: Moralist Anus In Sweater And Tie

Mike Huckabee makes me ill, the closer to the election it gets:

The Media never ceases to (unpleasantly) amaze me; after Huckabee has denied evolution, slung as much dirt wherever he can, believes women must "submit" graciously to their men, tried to liken himself to Christ being persecuted over his "cross" Christmas greeting, told people they are required to believe in God and worship Him as Huckabee would in order to "deserve" a free and democratic America (now there's some logic!) and labeled even monogamous gays with those who perform necrophilia and pedophilia, or happen to like a little leather, only NOW does the media think Huckabee's crossed the line by calling all their attention to a negative slam ad his campaign just pulled from release like he wanted brownie points for not doing what his alert to the media accomplished.

Says this shiksa, "Oy!"

Larry Craig: "It Ain't Easy Bein' Hypocritical"

Oops. What IS it with the "moral" and "family value" Republicans who can't keep their zippers up at the same time they insist anyone else engaging in much less heinous behavior deserve to be struck dead by God AND the American system? There is absolutely nothing wrong with being homosexual and by no means is homosexual synonymous with pedophile (most of whom are heterosexual, btw) - unless, of course, you're a gay who insists that other gays deserve to be stoned - but am I the only one who wonders if Craig may have pulled this on one or more unsuspecting males below the age of consent?

From the Buzzflash team:

Well, it looks like Larry "I am Not Gay" Craig -- who has remained a senator despite his initial promise to resign as of September 30 -- has been caught by Idaho's most influential paper, the Idaho Statesman, and left without a stall to stand on, so to speak.

In a December 2nd article, accompanied by graphic audio accounts of gay sexual encounters with Craig, the Idaho Statesman (owned by McClatchy Newspapers) provides the names and stories of four men who appear to undercut Senator Craig's claims that what happened in a Minnesota washroom was due to him being a victim of "profiling."

We're not familiar with older, tall white guys from Idaho being "profiled" a whole lot, and apparently the long-standing rumors about Craig are once again being confirmed. Craig has shunned and ridiculed the Idaho Statesman since it first began exploring Craig's hypocrisy on his sexual preferences (he has been a big anti-gay stalwart). But the newspaper has kept on the beat, so to speak, and documents its article about the post-Minneapolis revelations about Senator Craig with graphic audio clips.

Falwell Vs. Phelps: Quite A Dynamic Duo

Oh, I just love this. I do. Both the late (but hardly great) Rev. Jerry Falwell and the Rev. Fred Phelps deserve - and if justice prevails will be eternally assigned - a spot in the far lower molten dungeons in hell in which not even Satan will visit. Maybe if they're really lucky, Jerry and Fred can bunk together and have their own "Chemical Romance" of a conjugal nature. ::choke::

Poetic justice among those who too often and too rabidly confuse extreme fascism with fundamentalist Christianity, reported by 365Gays.

"(Not that I'm naming anyone and I certainly did not myself infer that the (purple?) teletubby was gay or that liberals were to blame for September 11th (9-11-01)!" - I learned this kind of disclaimer from Falwell.)

[Hey, perhaps it kept Phelps' hateful screwballs from attending the funeral of some dead Iraq or Afghanistan combat-American soldier snuck back into the U.S. in flag-draped coffins usually under cover of darkness.]

The New "Open-Minded" Conservative Caucus Just Loves, Loves, Loves Matt Sanchez, Patriot and Gay Porn Model

Considering how much hateful, vicious rhetoric spews from the mouths of the right-most, nut-wingiest, so-called conservatives of the sociopathic fringe of the Republican Party on the subject of gays, I find it heartening to see how warmly they have embraced Matt Sanchez.

If the name "buzzes" a bit for you yet rings no distinct, loud bell, it's because you've likely seen or heard of Matt Sanchez, at least in passing. He's a darling on the Fox Noise circuit, where Sean Hannity, among others, refers to him as a "great American"; he gets his picture taken with ungodly goddesses of the right fringe like Ann Coulter (as in the picture here) and Michelle Malkin.

Matt came to "prominence" when he - self-described as very pro-military - spoke out about how shabbily he is/was treated at Columbia University for being pro-military which, of course, made the strangest of the wingnuts race to embrace him, have him on their shows, write about him on their blogs, and hell, probably race to introduce Matt to their Hispanic illegal immigrant female domestic help.

The first time I heard about Matt Sanchez, in fact, it was on a righty blog where he was described as "a new and improved Jeff Gannon except that this guy isn't a queer homo whore" (the right is ever so diplomatic). Uh, it turns out that this blog post was actually rather prescient because.. uh... it turns out that, among Mr. Sanchez' other interests, he has regularly appeared (appears?) in gay pornography.

Writes Hoffmania in a post entitled, "The GOP's Big Tent":
Let's open the closet door and see who's there now.

Hey! It's the right wing's poster boy for the military, Matt Sanchez, who made the rounds saying how Columbia University students treated him mean for being pro-military. A legit problem, indeed...so the right embraced him without checking his creds. Seems he apparently didn't go to Iraq.

And, oh yeah...something else Fox Noise never checked. He also has a film acting resume' which ain't on IMDB.

What's truly sad about this, of course, is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Mr. Sanchez being gay but there is everything wrong with the far right's vicious homophobia and attacks on anyone who (unlike them) hasn't been married and divorced three, four, five, or six times from a slew of increasingly younger wives as great conservative righties like Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich have been.

And it's sad that, because the extreme right is well.. uh.. so extreme about wanting gays to spontaneously combust, they'll back quickly away from Sanchez, their poster boy, for the one attribute about him that perhaps isn't icky: that he's gay. But he's definitely self-hating and conflicted and pathological enough to qualify for the Malkin/ Coulter/ Gingrich/ Hannity/ Limbaugh/ Rick Santorum wing of the GOP (the company he keeps is indicative of this; no self-respecting person, IMHO, could accept their endorsement).
