Richard Armitage and PlameGate

Did you notice how when Newsweek broke the story that Richard Armitage, former 2nd in command of the U.S. State Department under Colin Powell, we kept being told (not all that subtly) that it was better it was Armitage because he's such a "moderate" and wasn't an Iraq chicken hawk?

Lessee... outing a CIA operative whose job is national and global security is STILL bad, whether it's Rove (who was involved, too) or Armitage or Cindy Sheehan or Captain Kangaroo! OK?

And second of all.. let's pretend for a moment that Mr. Built Like a Post-Katrina Swelled Brick Shithouse Armitage "was" opposed to the Iraq war. What the fuck does it matter?

And third, Armitage is NO saint. Wanna talk war on drugs? Ask Armitage how he spent some of the Vietnam war running drugs to support "American causes".

See, "The War on Drugs" is only apt if you change it to read: "The drugs that feed the wars" because it may well be extremely correct to say that the biggest drug dealer of all is the American government, sometimes to pay for wars and special ops. Like the Pentagon and such doesn't already get most of the budget dollars. Heh.
