Republicans: Say it Ain't So That Their Can Be Limits to Mr. Bush's Power
Funny - we used to think of Republicans as the party that wanted to limit government intrusion. Today's GOP, however, wants unlimited, unbridled power in the hands of a dolt like Bush but, of course, they will want this power removed unilaterally if a non-extremist (i.e. centrist Dem) gets elected. Remember how Tom DeLay whined like a wealthy wife whose husband was about to cut her divorce settlement to a measly million-a-month in alimony under Clinton?

Me? I don't want anyone of ANY party to be king, to act without a system of hearty checks and balances, to be able to "disappear" citizens and non-citizens without due process under the law.
