Fair is Fair

You've no doubt heard that the Bush Administration has decided to spend $80 million of our dollars promoting democracy in Cuba.

Stop and think for a moment. How well would it go over here if al Qaeda announced it was going to spend $80 million promoting radical Islamic beliefs in the Bible Belt here in the U.S.?

Or what if the Saud royal family put up $80 million for a very public program aimed to convert American Jews to the Muslim faith?

Or China established an $80 million program here to make Chinese the official language of the U.S.?

The point is that we would go ape shit screaming that these countries/institutions are not just meddling where they are not wanted, but we'd no doubt threaten them as well. So why is it appropriate for the U.S. to facilitate such a program in Cuba?
