Ethics: Something Washington Dearly Needs and Steadfastly Avoids

As Buzzflash points out in a link, if you thought that this year of scandals, Jack Abramoff, William Jefferson and his $90K in a freezer, lavish golf outings to Scotland, a $2 million payoff from a lobbyist to a House Appropriations Committee lapdog, free cars, and having the Baghdad operation largely underwritten by big gifts by defense contractors did anything to get Capitol Hill to clean up its act, then you are even more naive than I am - and despite my age, I can be a babe in the proverbial and literal woods!

As Reuters points out too subtly, Congress is doing diddly about coming up with an ethics plan.
