They Just Keep Regurgitating Jeff Gannon

For reasons which completely escape me, Vanity Fair spent a lot of real estate doing a story on this man (he is a man, at least, yes?). And for reasons even more unfathomable, after being tempted by the link at DC Media Girl, I've spent the last 20 minutes reading it because - I thought - there had to be some reason they would spend the time.

But no! Jeff is still as delusional as ever, awaiting his big "comeback" (don't you have to have been somewhere to get back there?), convinced America "loves stories of redemption", and mentioning book deals, maybe his own TV show, and unexplained claims he'll be suing various news agencies.

Jeff has not and never has been "the story". The story is how he got unprecedented access to the White House, to special Grover Norquist weekly conclaves, and why all the rules were consistently bent to allow such access to this multiple liar, male escort, and someone who likes to post video of himself urinating while sexually aroused on the Web. As has been clear for quite some time, the story has nothing to do with Jeff Gannon, who was at best a really dumb and unwitting pawn for something else. Jeff could have been literally anyone. That he's a no one just makes the story - which isn't Jeff - more of a mystery.
