"We Will Spare No Expense"

Those were the words spoken today by NY mayor Michael Bloomberg about protecting the financial centers.

OK, that's understandable.

But let's look at some nasty facts. New York teachers make terrible salaries, as do other civil workers. Police and firemen are threatening to strike.

NY school children have lost schools, reading programs, remedial programs, phys-ed, foreign language, music and arts, teachers, and books.

NY city shut-ins face losing their daily food deliveries.

AIDs patients have had a very tough time from Rudy Giuliani on.

Yes, security is important. But isn't there more than one type of security to be concerned about?
