John McCain Condemns Swift Boaters Against Kerry Ad

Good for the senator. He's also asked the GOP and the president to condemn the ad, something I expect to happen sometime after I turn into a zillionaire (which right now does not appear to be in the cards).

This ad today seems to set a new low record after years of extremely low standards.

Moreso, it really angers me as someone whose family has served in the military to have people come back later and lie about John Kerry's record in the military. If the situation was reversed, and it was Kerry doing this to Bush, I would be even more appalled (because I'd like to think the Democrats know better, although this is not always true).

It's beyond partisanship. It's beyond Bush or Kerry the men. It's watching a soldier's military service become something that can be discredited and manipulated for political gain... and to have it done for the gain of someone who wouldn't go to Vietnam and wouldn't even fulfill his non-war commitment is just vile.
