Israel Steps Up (Yet Again) Both Air and Ground Assaults

I am now certain that Israel won't rest until every 5-lb piece of rubble gets smashed into teeny marbles in Lebanon, although they don't seem to be doing much to hurt Hezbollah while they destroy all the civilians and infrastructure in Lebanon.

WaPo also has a piece on Hezbollah's staying power as well as how, despite Condi Rice's continued announcements that a cease fire is right around the corner (perhaps a Lebanon corner, which no one can find anymore because it's been shot away), no cease-fire is expected anytime soon. Europeans, however, still call loudly for such a cease fire.
