Hezbollah's Appeal?

WaPo says part of Hezbollah's "appeal" is its staying power. I find myself wanting to argue this, but maybe it's just a different way of saying: there is a grudging amount of respect for an underdog who can stand up to the brute force of Israel backed by the U.S.
