ABC Primetime: The Myths That Allow The Epidemic of AIDS

ABC Primetime has a fascinating and terrifying report about how AIDS is taking a huge toll on the African-American community here while many, including our politicians and government, see it as a "former" issue. Although blacks constitute only about 13% of the U.S. population, more than 50% of all new HIV cases are black. Black women are dying at 13 times the rate of white women diagnosed with HIV.

One big place for furthering of spread of AIDS is that prisons do not supply condoms and under the Bushies, needle exchange programs for IV drug users is now practically non-existent.

In other words, the blindness that Ronald Reagan had in the 80s that allowed AIDS to become an epidemic in the first place is now being furthered a thousand fold by the Bushies who don't want anyone to use a condom or use drugs.
