Point of Clarification

OK, I recognize that polls say a majority of Americans do NOT want the U.S. to get involved in the mess occurring between Israel and Hezbollah, with the people of Lebanon stuck in the path of direct hits.

But if that is true, why the hell did the House of Reprehensibles yesterday vote overwhelmingly to congratulate Israel and pat 'em on the back for a job well done? THAT is involvement. Before the House did that, Mr. Bush had sent an extremely LOUD signal that Israel could nuke the entire Middle East and we didn't give a fuck which the Arab and Muslim world, as well as the Christian Lebanese certainly would view as involvement (a defacto complicity with Israel).

So if Americans don't want the U.S. involved, does that mean everyone is calling their local Reprehensible and telling them to go pound sand?
