Two Weeks, Then Another Two Weeks, Now Another Month

Israel has had a field day with turn-arounds this week:

  • Their announced 48-hour cease fire while an investigation into the Qana, Lebanon massacre lasted about three hours before they commenced airstrikes.
  • Their promise to limit civilian casualties has so far resulted in 14-18 times the number of civilian deaths in Lebanon as Hezbollah has accomplished with "not" trying to limit civilian casualties with its rockets in northern Israeli towns.
  • They tell Lebanese civilians to evacuate and then they attack them while they evacuate.
  • Their announcement they would not expand the ground operations turned today into a massive expansion of ground operations.
  • They wanted 10 days to fight Hezbollah and before that was up, they wanted another 10 days to two weeks. Now that we're at almost three weeks, today Olmert announced they want "at least another month" to lay waste to Hezbollah.
