More on the Muslim Man Who Went After Jews at a Jewish Charity in Seattle

More about this sad tragedy.

One of the things I hate most about the situation in Lebanon is that many people - and oddly enough, not all the people who hate Jews are poor and illiterate; in fact, I suspect we have quite a few in ranking positions in the Bush Administration - will use the current deadly crisis in the Middle East as an excuse to fuel their hatred of Jews.

Just as it is completely wrong to brand any disagreement with the policy of Israeli officials as anti-semitism, it is even worse to use the actions of such officials or even a whole country as a justification of hate and fear.

Funny thing is that Jews, Christians, and Muslims hold a very common set of beliefs, with fairly few differences separating us. I doubt God, Jesus, Elijah, Mohammed, or other great icons within these religions would ever advocate the kind of hatred often spewed and acted out in their names.
