In the "When You Compare Mrs.Schiavo's Brain Activity to That of Some of the Protestors, Her Ratings Shoot up" Department

Amanda Marcotte at Pandagon is among several bloggers to note that legitimate callers are having a very difficult time reporting real cases to the Florida Department of Children's abuse hot line these days.

Why?

Because supporters for Terri Schiavo have a coordinated effort going to jam the lines reporting the "murder" of Mrs. Schiavo.

So far, the "supporters", protestors and others whose lives can be found documented in DSM IV (the encyclopedia of recognized mental illnesses) have:

    * abused laws
    * sent kids in with food and water that could a) kill Schiavo faster and b) get these underage kids arrested (I DO hope someone is calling Child and Family Services on each and every family camped out down in Pinellas Park for this)
    * besieged Judge Greer and others with death threats
    * tried to put out contracts or steal weapons to kill Greer and Mrs. Schiavo's husband
    * kept a number of families from being at the hospice for the passing of their loved ones
    * kept the hospice patients awake night and day with bullhorns and other attention-getting devices
    * kept these patients hostage in their rooms because it is no longer safe to move around the hospice
    * closed the school located near the hospice in a cul-de-sac
    * screamed "Nazi" repeatedly at the police and some - including so-called ministers - "goose-step" in front of said cops
And the best part? Almost none of them are from Florida. They're being shipped in from the outside. Many have been there so long it's clear they do not have jobs or other responsibilities to get them home.

An acquaintance in Florida who works very near where all this is going on is just aghast. A seasoned protestor herself, she reports that she has never seen such bad conduct be tolerated let alone for so long. At a Bush rally, a t-shirt can get you arrested. She said there have been at least two people hit by cars and that the kids of the protestors keep running out into traffic.
