Is Hezbollah Fighting Dirty? Hell, Yes! But Let's Be Clear...

Some people who have written in to me based on some of my postings on the mess with Israel in Lebanon going after Hezbollah have criticized my stance, stating that Hezbollah is fighting dirty so Israel has to respond in kind.

Oh, yeah, I realize Hezbollah is fighting dirty. Zero surprise there. Right?

But I hold Israel as a powerful nation, one born of people who historically know what it is like to be rooted out and treated very badly just because of their race or culture, to a much different, much higher, standard than I hold the poor, generally badly educated, and often too easily led members of Hezbollah.

Here's another point we cannot fail to consider: the United States subsidizes Israel in a major way, including giving them huge caches of weapons and military-focused technology. Because of this, each of us is culpable for what Israel does with the money and material we supply to them. This is not the case with Hezbollah; to my knowledge, we supply nothing to them.
