So Mel Gibson is a Jew-Hating, Intolerant, Conspiracy-Driven Madman With Delusions of Grandeur? So Is Bush...So What Else is New?

Now that Mel Gibson has confirmed that he went into an anti-semitic tirade when he was pulled over for allegedly driving under the influence (and with Mel, I suspect he drives under the influence of more than just alcohol based on some of his previous interviews), gossip is all a-twitter, both in Hollywood and out. Huffington Post features several bloggers, including Arianna herself, weighing in by saying people should refuse to work for him, Disney should cancel projects with him, and so on, ad infinitum.

My only problem with this is, "Where's the news?"

That Gibson has serious issues with Jews going way back in history is not new. That he has serious emotional issues and that he's loonier than a fruit bat is not new. That he thinks he's above everyone else is not new.

Anyone who saw "The Passion of Christ" either realizes this man has incredibly serious problems or (s)he is as much of a fruit loop as he is.

Do what you want to the bastard. Just don't pretend you're only just realizing he's a hateful basket case.
