How Much Do You Matter to Congress? Not a Bit

Can you believe this? Congress has decided the answer to high gas prices isn't a real investigation into gouging, isn't understanding that we've wasted more than 30 years letting politicians pretend our lives are profoundly affected by our dependence on fossil fuels we should have weaned ourselves from in the 1970s because congress was afraid you wouldn't vote for them if they did mention it.

Instead, all they need to do, they've decided, is bribe you with $100 to destroy ANWR nature reserve and do whatever scummy other thing they need to do.

It's been a very long time since $100 meant anything. These days, if you have a big gas tank, you won't even have much change left over from a hundred dollar bill after you fill up.

So let's tell Congress that we will only pay each of them $100 a year in salary unless and until they begin doing their fucking jobs.
