Another Question

Is the Mayor Jim West of Spokane who just announced he basically hung around in gay chat rooms trying to pick up young men the same one who so ferociously argued against homosexual rights and the evils of the gay lifestyle in general?

Wait. Silly me. What was I thinking? He's a rabid right Republican, and they always have zero problems with themselves engaging in the same behavior for which they would like others tarred, feathered, drawn, quartered, and then killed all over again.

Story here, and it's a pip!

This has happened again and again. One of these severe nutwing cases who insists that gays (or women, or this group or that) is evil incarnate while they - the wingnuts - are pure and moral. Then we learn that the wingnuts have been engaging in the same behavior they would like to execute others for engaging in.

Tom DeLay's ethics?

Various anti-gay/pro marriage types who have committed numerous acts of adultery, often with someone of the same sex?

That Rep. Sherwood fellow who claims he dropped in on a 29-year-old associate just to give her a back rub and that she simply misunderstood it when after she said no, he (reportedly) tried to strangle her? Well, that's easy enough to understand. I've often confused a back rub with having the life pinched out of me.

Where's the shame? Nowhere.

And when you don't have shame in this kind of situation, one has to wonder if you're sociopathic and without conscience.
