U.S. Soldier Iraq Death Toll Passes 1600

Very sad, but also just a small representation of the overall number of deaths. The military has shown us again and again that they fudge the numbers to make them more acceptable to the U.S. population and they won't tell us the tens of thousands of Iraqis who've died for no good reason.

Which brings me to the question I asked last week: Have we now killed more Iraqis than Saddam? Have we tortured, imprisoned, and otherwise destroyed the lives of more Iraqis than Saddam?

When do we as Americans put the pieces of the puzzle together and realize this administration does nothing but lie and spin? And then, when do we decide the hold them accountable rather than just shrug and turn back to watching "American Idol" and "CSI"? By pretending the lies and spin don't matter, we become the evil the Bush Administration perpetrates - both morally and in the eyes of the world. This sets us up for far more dangerous stuff than what happened here on 9/11.
