In the Those Payday Loan People are Approved by the Government and They're Here to Hurt Help You" Department

While I pointed to posts by Xavier and Peter at Pibbshow last night, I especially want to call your attention to this particular post re: the pushiness of the folks behind "Payday Loan" shops where they'll give you $250, $500, or $1,000 to tide you over to the next pay day only to charge so much that your one week loan easily turns into a multi-month, higher-than-the-sky interest rates horror.

Strangely though, Bush seems to be running our economy like someone dependent on payday loan shops. We're scrambling and paying the interest, however.
