Hizbullah: Rebuilds and Regroups As Ceasefire Continues On Shaky Feet
Newsweek has the story. Remember that the 34-day active violence period in Lebanon brought with it some large surprises:
- that the Israeli army could lose when it's bigger and better powered than almost any other military in the world; with it, the military sustained a fair amount of loss of soldiers
- that Israel showed no restraint in attacking areas where civilian casualties would be great; then they claimed they had been given a "green light" to do so (presumably from the Bushies)
- that Hezbollah managed to hold sway when Israel seemed to actually believe they could destroy it and are still claiming they can
- that very quickly, the Israeli population turned from very strong support of Israel's efforts in Lebanon into much criticism
