War Loss Compensation Differs by Race/Religion

Remember I posted about how there were many appeals here in the U.S. specifically to compensate the Jews hurt as part of the Israel-Lebanon-Hezbollah conflict, when Israel lost about 42 civilians (including many Arab Israelis), while we weren't seeing any of this appeal directed toward Muslims or Lebanese Christians, or anyone NOT an Israeli Jew?

Well, here comes Israel's Ha'aretz with a piece entitled, "Second Class Compensation": as you read, you see there is not only a very complicated formula for war compensation within Israel, you also note that Arab-majority villages in Israel were left out altogether.

Mind you, I would argue that the tens of billions in damage in Lebanon ought to be born by the people of Israel.
