CNN Poll: Should U.S. Call for Immediate Cease Fire in Israel-Lebanon Fight

I'm disappointed to say the results right now on CNN - with more than 75,000 responding - is neck and neck:

53% say yes to an immediate cease fire
47% say no

I would be lying if I said I understood why people would say no to this. I'd like them to wonder what their response would be if Israel was firing missiles at us. American citizens seem amazingly willing to call for bloodshed elsewhere, but let an American die in such a conflict and no one whines louder.
