Bombs Kill Dozens Around Iraqi Mosque

From CNN:

Insurgents are pressing their campaign as the handover of sovereignty to Iraq's interim government draws nearer, spilling fresh blood and snatching new hostages.

Two car bombs exploded near a mosque killing 23 Iraqi civilians and wounding 58 others around 8:45 p.m. Saturday (12:45 p.m. ET) in the southern Iraqi city of Hillah, the coalition said, citing Iraqi officials.

Earlier, the coalition reported 40 civilians had died.

The bombs exploded in the vicinity of a building formerly known as the Saddam Mosque.
