Somalia

Uh... we're bombing them? Uh... why? We looking for them to bring down another plane so we can watch those on the ground dragging dead American soldier bodies around the city streets? Mind you, we don't touch the situation in Darfur but we're opening up a new can of whoop-ass (and we know whose ass got whooped last time) in Somalia? And no, of course, we're not supposed to draw the conclusions that:

• Bush's ego can't be checked
• That Somalia is yet another country with a heavy Muslim population
• Gee, is the difference between Somalia and Darfur that Somalia has energy resources while Darfur just has little girls getting raped and gutted trying to pick up firewood?

The Bush Administration insists its the latest front on the "War on Terror" - a term, as you may remember, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld roundly castigated as bullshit as he left the Pentagon - but Jon Stewart right now reminds us of something more fitting perhaps:
