With a Top Iraqi Politician Calling the U.S. a "Butcher" And More Than 100 Dying from Violence in Iraq Each Day

Today, Vice President Dick Cheney, at a GOP fund raiser for a Florida congressman, said that the great news from Iraq is exactly WHY the Republicans need to be kept in the majority power in November 2006 mid-term elections.

Yes, he mentioned the need again to "stay the course". You know that course: no matter how many failures and deaths occur because of the Bush policies in Iraq, they never, ever, ever change their game plan which reminds more than a few of us of Santayana's, "Those who do not remember history are condemned to repeat it..."

Mr. Cheney does not simply need a reality check; he needs to be parachuted into Iraq wearing some of the poor and untested body armor Rumsfeld sends our troops (when the Pentagon bothers to equip these soldiers at all) and with a big sign on his back saying, "I'm the man who said you'd greet us with flowers and kisses!"

Cheney can take the Bush twins with him, for all I care.
