California Declares State of Emergency with Power Outages - Blackouts

With triple digit heat, the California mini power outages and full scale blackouts continue, prompting the state to issue a state of emergency.

As I posted yesterday, I can appreciate how damned difficult it is to try to live and work without electricity since here in Vermont, we suffer two and three day blackouts on average at least twice per year (and trust me, nobody comes offering grocery refunds, ice, and other emergency measures in aid).

Yes, as I also wrote, this situation reminds me that Palestinians in Gaza and a majority of the people in Lebanon have been without electricity for more than a week because of Israeli air strikes. If this situation is bad for us in America, I don't see why so many find it acceptable for our fellow citizens of the planet in Gaza and Lebanon.
