Joe Lieberman: Please Don't Bother The Bushies Looking For The Truth in Post-Hurricane Katrina Documents

Yes, of course, it's been most upsetting to see Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-I, CT), a man for whom I once long ago had at least a modicum of respect when I was a constituent of his, sell out his principles as he begs on bended knee before Bush & Cheney to be their favorite non-Christian. Yet, far more disturbing is how willing Joe-mentum is to sell out our troops, our senior citizens, our voters and in this case, the truth about the Bush Administration's response to Hurricane Katrina in August-September 2005. Lieberman is uber protective of our FratBoy Emperor.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, the only Democrat to endorse President Bush’s new plan for Iraq, has quietly backed away from his pre-election demands that the White House turn over potentially embarrassing documents relating to its handling of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans. Senator Joe Lieberman has just taken the very surprising step of revealing to Newsweek that he will not use his chairmanship on the Homeland Security committee to aggressively probe the government's catastrophic failings in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Sorry to say I don't think you can blame Nutmeg State voters entirely.

For one, we know about the rigged voting machines and how, despite all the evidence, they are still deciding elections. Do we know for certain Joe won the popular vote last November? I don't.

For another, the majority of the money spent in that Connecticut Senate race came not from Dems within the borders of Connecticut but from Republicans and far right independents based in Texas, Washington D.C., etc. Sad and true.

Still, C&L encourages everyone to contact Lieberman to register their supreme displeasure and strong recommendation to change his (bought-and-paid-for-by-Bushies) mind.
