Bad Ideas That Get Worse: U.S. Troops Headed To Kuwait And "Let's Recruit Foreigners!"

It's really hard to say which of these ideas is in the worst taste:

• sending U.S. soldiers to Kuwait now so we can pretend they aren't really headed for Iraq (which they are), OR
• luring foreigners here to recruit them into the American military in the hope they can stay alive long enough to get a green card and perhaps citizenship (gee, perhaps some disillusioned al Qaeda fighters will join, eh?)

You have to hand it to Mr. Bush: he's willing to allow any poor and desperate soul, American or not, to die for his cooked wars.
