Seven GOP Politicians to Decide Fate of Filibuster

One hopes they might listen to the electorate, which supports the continuation of the filibuster in a broad majority. CNN lists these legislators as:

The senators are Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, John Sununu of New Hampshire, Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, John Warner of Virginia, Susan Collins of Maine and Mike DeWine of Ohio.

Sununu is a Sununu, so assume he'll go with the GOP.

Specter has been ass-whooped, so he may as well. I don't know enough about DeWine to call it. Collins will likely try to pull some of the Maine base losses off in exchange for her vote on the filibuster, so she will side with the GOP if Bush saves some Maine jobs. Hagel has said the filibuster should be allowed to stand, but who knows?

Not sure on Murkowski or Warner either.
