Oil prices set another record high today, then retreated after a U.S. government report showed a larger-than-expected gasoline inventory. The price of U.S. crude hit $44.34 a barrel this morning, 19 cents above Tuesday's price. Analysts fear another few days of record-breaking prices could damage the global economy.Methinks Mr. Bush needs to have one of those heart-to-heart talks with Prince Bandar (is it?) again. Americans paying $3.50 a gallon at the pump might finally realize there may be special problems in having oil men (Bush and Cheney) running the world.
